You, the person building an iconic brand, are a super hero. There are so many villains like rising cost of goods, broken inventory data, and supply chain issues.
Centro’s automations and alerts save brands valuable time and money by preventing out-of-stock bestsellers, and turn anyone into an inventory expert.
Founders Andrew Liu and Jamyang Tenzin are decade-long friends who started out as roommates and undergraduates at Queen’s University.
Andrew was managing inventory as the operations software lead at SSENSE, a billion dollar luxury retailer. When the pandemic hit – it hit Andrew differently. The fragile global supply chain broke. Businesses across all industries experienced inventory shortages as customers rapidly shifted to ecommerce as a retail lifeline while the world was in lockdown.
As Andrew started to look for tools to adapt and he noticed a pattern. Inventory software hadn’t adapted to the growth of ecommerce and was also extremely expensive, making these tools completely inaccessible for growing brands. Andrew immediately reached out to Jamyang, who was working at Shopify at the time to confirm his suspicions. It was true – most seven figure brands were struggling to manage inventory manually in spreadsheets. Messy inventory operations were costing brands thousands of dollars in stockouts, piles of stale materials, and negative cash flow.
With that, Centro was born with the mission to equip every business owner with the operations tools they need to grow their business.
